Scary Thoughts

Hey, have you seen the news today? Some psycho ran from the cops and into a residential area where he managed to kill two people and almost hostaged one.

One of the persons killed was a fireman who simply happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. He really had no idea what was coming for him. I'm sure he had plans for the rest of the day with his family. Maybe a good dinner together and bonding moments in front of the TV. But just like that, his life ended and nobody, himself and his family, were prepared for it. This made me realize that you really could die in an instant.

I mean, of course death is inevitable but I find it totally scary to, you know, just havin' a stroll on the park or on the beach and then some mad man pulls the trigger of his gun and bye bye you. You don't have to do anything wrong, or nobody has to do you wrong for your life to end. All you have to do is be at the wrong place at the wrong time -- be a victim of circumstance. Yikes.

I don't know who's in a more lamentable situation: those people who are slowly but surely dying due to sickness (cancer patients); or those who die in an instant, being totally caught off guard (fireman dude). This isn't to scare anyone, but I think we all should put a thought on what happened to fireman dude.
