I'm sure we're all music lovers. We may not agree on what genre of music is "the best", but you and I won't deny that life would be dull without music. So, fellow music junkies, here three new songs I'm listening to right now and I would like to share them with you (click on the links to listen to the songs, if you want).
Na Na Na (NaNaNaNaNa) by My Chemical Romance
The first single from My Chemical Romance's upcoming album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (out November 22). This is a whole new My Chemical Romance experience as this song is very catchy and pop-like. A total u-turn from MCR's (in)famous themes of dark and decay and death from the day they released their first three albums. For the die-hard fans of MCR, don't see the band as "selling out". In fact, you should be happy for the band as this new direction they're heading (the pop-like tunes) is an affirmation of their greatness as this shows MCR can play any kind of songs. Take note though, that I said "pop-like". My Chemical Romance will never be pop. Pop is the most commercialized kind of music, making it as insincere as rock, metal and rap. As a footnote, I just wanna say the music video is very funny (click that link up there if you wanna watch).
This is the second single from Danger Days and, like Na Na Na, this song is so un-MCR like (in case you haven't noticed, the intro is kinda electronica-ish). But then again, this just reaffirms what I had said about the band's versatility in making music. This is an emotional song with a sad intro. If you listen to the intro lyrics, it kind of paints a vivid image in your mind (it's up to you to decide what that is). And for those who love to headbang, bang your head as hard as you can with this song because, beginning at the chorus, the song suddenly shifts into its harder part with heavy guitar rifts.
The Catalyst is the first single from Linkin Park's new album A Thousand Suns. It's a good song because it shows LP's creativeness. The Catalyst isn't your usual guitar-bass-drums, verse-chorus-verse-bridge kind of song. It incorporates other sounds produced by synthesizers. But truth be told, I'm kind of disappointed because I'm kind of an old-school fan of LP. I miss their old sounds of rap-rock and rapcore. Still, this new song, along with other songs from the album is very good to listen to.
Enjoy listening, dear readers.
