Death Row

My deepest sympathies go out to the families of the three Filipinos who will be executed in China tomorrow.

Of course, we as fellow Filipinos have to support and sympathize with those who will be executed (Ramon Credo, Elizabeth Batalin and Sally Villanueva) and their families because it is our social duty as people of the same blood to do so.
We also have to consider the fact these three have committed crimes in China and have to face the penalties as dictated by Chinese law. It's easy to understand why so many groups would march the streets to call to the Chinese government to call of the execution. It is out of sympathy that they do so. Most of us know what it's like to lose loved ones, let alone lose them without actually being with them in their last moments on Earth.
But bear in mind that China has its own set of laws and punishments to those who break their laws and we or any other country could directly influence the Chinese government regarding political issues. All we could do now is hope and pray for a miracle.
